The Real Estate Website Income Report for July 2022 – $725.87

Welcome to another post where I take a look at some of the details of running a Real Estate Blog.  This is my third Real Estate Website Income Report, and I hope you find it helpful.

If you want to read my other Income Reports for this website, I’ve created a blogger income report page where they are all archived.

I believe that blogging is very similar to Real Estate.  You create a website that is like a property, and over time you write articles to make it better.  The writing is like the rehab on a house.  The more work you put in, the more valuable it becomes.

A few months ago, I wrote a post about the Goals of this website.  That post outlines my Why. The reasons behind I do what I do.

How a Real Estate Blog Makes Money

Today for the first time, I’m sharing how I actually make money with this website.

Getting started it isn’t a lot, but over time, and with a lot of hard work, I expect it to grow into something that will allow me to achieve my long-term goals.  It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

If you are like me, and I have to assume you are since you are reading this, you want to know exactly how it happens.  So today I’m pulling back the curtain and giving you a sneak peek into the earnings from EricEstate.  My goal is to post the total earnings every month.

The beginnings are very meager, but it can grow quickly with work.

  • May 2022 – I made a whopping $33.77
  • June 2022 – $4,101.65
  • July – $725.87

As you can see, this way of blogging (and selling Real Estate associated with this website) can be a great way to make a living. I don’t know of any other kind of website that gets this much income as quickly.

The first day I started measuring was on April 27, 2022.  When I do the math it is 97 days, and a total of $50.12 a day!

Real Estate Income

This month I didn’t receive any direct commissions from this blog, however, I did receive some referral fees

The amount was: $680, and since it came directly from contacts from this website, I am counting it as income.

The old way of generating leads, from cold-calling, to postcards, to open houses don’t work anymore. Most real estate websites like the big portals don’t do it right either.

People don’t just want data – that’s easy to get if you look in the right places. All the information about every house is on the web. Because of this, Real Estate agents who blog need to do something else. That’s what this website is all about. Showing and explaining the new way to do real estate.

Using Amazon Associates

My other source of income for this blog comes from Amazon Associates.

July 2022 Amazon Income Report – $45.87

Amazon Associates is a program where you get a commission when someone clicks on a link and then purchases a product on Amazon in the following 24 hours.

I simply share products on Amazon that I like and use in my posts, and when the links are clicked and a purchase is made, I get a little (and I do mean little) somethin’-somethin’.

Any blogger can sign up for Amazon.  There are a few simple rules to follow, and then you can start to make money as a writer!

Real Estate Website Stats

Here are a few other stats that I look for when I’m researching websites.  When I see others I always want to know how much work will I have to do to make the money. I sometimes wish there were more Real Estate Website Income Report out there. If there are any other stats you want to know about let me know in the comments.

I hope this blog income report has been helpful to you. I’m excited to continue working every day to grow this blog and turn it into something helpful to you, or anyone looking to learn more about Real Estate.

If you want to be notified of these income reports, I send out an email with just that info.

Every month I’ll check-in and share what lessons I’ve learned, so you can see the successes, and missteps, in growing a Real Estate Blog.

I’ve also written a different post with lots of great sample real estate reviews, too.

Moving Forward

While I didn’t write a lot of posts this last month, I did focus on getting a few high-quality backlinks. It is very important to have both great articles, as well as links from sites with some authority.

Additionally, I began to look for some affiliate programs that I can share with my readers. As an experienced Real Estate Agent, I know what systems work, and which ones don’t. I have plans to share only the best content management systems, blogging tools, and other life and business products that will help new (and experienced) agents become successful – quickly!

Over the next few months, I’ll be adding new posts with some of these products, as well as updating older blog posts with the appropriate information.

While I do, I’ll be adding some more internal links to my site. If you don’t know, an Internal link is when one of the pages on a site link to other pages on the same site. An external link is when two different websites link to each other.
